Founded in New Jersey in 1994, Symphony X quickly made their mark on the progressive metal scene with their innovative and sophisticated sound. Established by guitarist Michael Romeo, the band garnered attention for their technical prowess and creative music. Their self-titled debut album, Symphony X, marked an impressive entry into the metal world, and with their follow-up The Damnation Game, they expanded their fanbase.

Legendary Albums and Rising Success

In 1997, Symphony X revolutionized the progressive metal genre with their album The Divine Wings of Tragedy. Featuring epic compositions and complex musical structures, this record solidified their place among the top bands in the genre. Albums like The Odyssey (2002) and Paradise Lost (2007) further cemented their success, expanding their global fanbase and solidifying their legacy.

Staggering Streaming Statistics

Symphony X has also achieved massive success on digital platforms. On Spotify, their tracks have garnered millions of streams, with one of their most popular songs, Set the World on Fire (The Lie of Lies), reaching millions of plays. On YouTube, epic tracks like The Odyssey and Sea of Lies have accumulated millions of views, demonstrating their widespread appeal and dedicated fanbase.

Alkera

Alkera is a progressive metal band from Istanbul, Turkey.
Founded in 2015 by Faruk Aydın Toksöz (guitar), Yalçın Hafızoğlu (drums), and Ali Göktürk (keyboards), the band originally set out to create progressive metal music with English lyrics. With the addition of Onur Çobanoğlu (vocals) and Ozan Mustafa Tuncal (bass guitar), their focus on songwriting gained momentum.

Alkera, one of the strong acts in the Turkish progressive metal scene, released their debut full-length album Zamanın Ötesine on May 24 under the Nefes Records label. The 10-track album includes the singles Kan Revan and Dilhun, which were released with music videos, as well as Taş Yuva, which was previously released in 2022.

The lyrics of Zamanın Ötesine were written by vocalist Onur Çobanoğlu, while the composition and arrangement were done by the band members as a collective effort.
